John Hawkins is the President and CEO of Pathfinder | MPI Consulting, a Cincinnati/ Northern KY based Human Resource and Commercial Capabilities consulting company. Management Performance International (MPI Consulting) is an internationally known 42 year old Organizational Development and Human Resource consulting practice. MPI Consulting specializes in Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Compensation/ Benefits and Capability Development. John became President and CEO of MPI Consulting in 2011 and has continued its legacy as one of the top 5 national labor consulting practices. Most recently achieving recognition as Emerging 30, Supplier of the Year and a nomination for Company of the Year by the Cincinnati and Northern KY Chambers of Commerce the past 2 years.
John is an internationally experienced executive, consultant, key note speaker and corporate trainer. John has worked with hundreds of companies helping them to accelerate their business performance by improving their strat-egies, developing their people and developing pragmatic implementation solutions. John is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of success having worked for and with some of the world’s leading blue chip companies, such as Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, Novartis, Glendinning Management Consulting and BAT.
Starting his professional career with Procter and Gamble, John spent seventeen years progressing through the company in positions of greater responsibility in Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Logistics and International, where he had General Management responsibilities for P&G’s company business in Brazil. Upon returning to the US, John left P&G and joined Kellogg’s as a Vice President for their Central US region. Following Kellogg, John became a Senior Vice President for Novartis Medical Nutrition’s Acute Care and Home Care division. He served on the company’s due diligence team, which was instrumental in preparing the sale of this business to Nestle.
John then transitioned to Glendinning Management Consulting (now Kantar Retail) as VP of Consulting, Americas. While serving as VP of Consulting with Glendinning, he became known for his expertise in the areas of strategic consulting, organizational effectiveness and capability development. In this role he worked with hundreds of companies and thousands of clients around the world such as BP Castrol, Mattel, Revlon (US and Mexico), Mars, Unilever and Imperial Tobacco Canada etc. While consulting with Imperial Tobacco he was asked to join their executive team as Head of Trade and Business Development to activate the strategies he co-developed.
Upon his return to the United States, John founded Pathfinder Management Consulting, a sales and marketing consulting practice which focuses on building commercial capabilities such as Go to Market strategy, Route to Market, Trading Terms and Conditions, Key Account Management, Joint Business Planning and Shopper Marketing Activation Solutions. Based on his corporate and consulting experience, John has acquired nearly 30 years of executive level leadership as well as an understanding of global best practices.
