¿Es Su Estrategia de Personal Suficientemente Multicultural? SPANISH
For nearly 30 years now, I have been sharing my views to friends, clients, colleagues, customers and just about anyone who was willing to listen on the my experience and the benefits of a multicultural organization – one powered by diversity.
In my personal and professional journey, I can truly say that my most rewarding experiences have come when diversity was present. In a culture where everyone was treated with dignity and respect, these multicultural and diverse cultures flourished; they made a significant contribution to the success of the company. People felt that their voices were being heard and there there was a willingness to work to solve problems together.
At MPI we are very proud of the work we do to “Help Companies Connect with their People and People to Connect with their Companies.”
This work has become almost a ministry for us because we believe so strongly that people working directly with their management and management working directly with their people is critical for long term success.
We are not here to bash unions because they have played a significant role in our history and there are some unions which have benefited workers. However, in our opinion that time has largely passed and unions are no longer necessary when they target and are penetrating individual organizations.
In my experience as a business leader heading organizations and consulting with clients in the United States as well as across the globe from South America, Asia, Europe and Canada, the best results are achieved for the company and its people when they work together. Both parties save money in the process and people are not having to pay to go to work in a job they already have.
As I look at the divisiveness of this year’s Presidential campaign along with the increasing number of employee grievances and labor petitions being filed with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), over 250 petitions monthly, it is clearly evident that companies and their people are not sufficiently connecting in the US.
Hopefully, cooler heads will prevail and we will find ourselves living our most important American values as stated in our Constitution….”We the People” of all races, creeds, colors and personal orientations working together directly to solve our challenges.
